Post 7: This Week in Science (Ecosystems)

What I did this week in Science was , to design the tank , do my test corrections , my habitat map , question wall , we visited the fishtank store , went to the community gsrden , meet bob , research organisms , looked for insects , and learn how to put a moss on a rock.

What I Learn this week in Science was how moss grows on rock , how insects will survive in a tank , we learn the carbon - oxygen cycle , i learned interesting facts about organisms.

I Am Curious about knowing if you dont cover up the terrarium what will happen to the dirt , insects and Etc ..

In This Picture They are getting dirt to set up the terrarium ..

This Week in Science (Spider Habitat Design)

What I Did this week in Science is made a drawing of an terrarium. Also I had to label all the parts, include and identify one food chain, and List biotic and abiotic factors and Etc... We played a game called Carbon Cycle. We had to write down some notes about the game , and we learn about limiting factor.

What I Learn In the carbon cycle, plants absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. When the Carbon Cycle is moving it uses the same source. Carbon Cycle is like Carbon Dioxide. the same carbon atom can move through many organisms and even end in the same place where it began.

This Week in Science (Carrying Capacity and Relationships)

What I did this week in science was I played a game, and take notes on Carrying Capacity. I Had to make a graph on what the OH DEER Habitat Result turned out to be. I had to write about the Carrying Capcity and how it's related to the Limiting factors.

What I Learned this week in Science ... was alot. I Learned
How to play the game OH DEER ! . And I learned how to graph the data that I had. I Learned how limiting factors could affect the Carrying Capacity. I learned that the less food avaliable the more the deer's increase.

This Week in Science: Energy Transfer

What I did this week in Science was to take notes about vocabulary words. I had to draw a food chain and pyrmaid. I Had to finish my fantasy habitat. I did Biome and Abiotic Chart. I did research of my Animal.

I Learned How to do a food chain. Also I learned how to do Energy Pyramids. I Learned that food chains show what animals eat. I learned that a producer is an organism (living thing) that makes its own food by getting energy from the Sun. I learned that consumers are organisms that eat other organisms. I also learned that there are different kinds of consumers. A primary consumer gets its energy from the producers. A secondary consumer is and organism that gets it energy from the primary consumers. Also A Tertiay Consumer is and organism that gets it energy from the secondary consumer.

My Fantasy Habitat

What I Did this Week in Science Class was To look up an Animal that I Like. When I found the Animal I had to research it. I Research the Abiotic and Biotic things about the Animals. Then Draw the Habitat and the Animal.

I Learned about A Jack Rabbit and where they live and what they do. I Learned that they live in A Desert. They eat dry fruit, and Carrots. The Biotic are Snakes, spiders, and Lizard. Many Animals live underground for much of the day they adapt to the Heat by hiding underground and rocks,

This Week in Science

What we did on this unit were we set up or frbloggin, and did our post about frogs. We had to write about how we feel about a frog and have we every did any thing to a frog. Then we had to write a few things in our notebook about frogs. Then we dissected the frog. When we dissected the frog we had to tell the parts of a frog and what where inside of the frog. While dissecting the we had to take pictures of what we were doing. Then the last day of dissecting a frog we had to take the frog organs out and put them on a worksheet that where labeled parts of a frog organs.

I Learned that frogs have baby eggs in there stomach, and these baby eggs are so small that they can hold a lot of eggs in there stomach. I also Learned that female frogs are bigger than male frogs. When females frog are pregnant they get even bigger. I also learned that the fat bodies help them store food. I Think they have very small hearts.

This Picture shows how the frog look when its dead. I Choose this picture because i want every one to see how the frog looks before we dissect it.
This picture shows how the inside of the frog and what it looks like.  I Choose this picture because it seem very interesting to me.

This Pictures shows the frogs egg.  I Choose this picture so people who never saw a frog's egg they could see how what it look likes.
This Picture shows the fat bodies in a frog. I Choose this picture because its a very good close up picture.
This Picture shows the frog fat bodies, heart and baby egg's. I Choose this picture because you got to see inside of the frog very well.

First Impressions

My impressions about this frog blog was that it seem cool because you are making a new website and because you are dissecting a frog. When I First saw a frog I though it was very cool and nasty because when frogs are about to eat they have a bubble under there throat. Also When I saw a frog I though it was creepy. My first experince with a frog was when I open a bathroom door and saw a frog on the floor staring at me. Then he make a bubble to open his mouth and his tongue came out and then I ran.
